Gamora is a fictional character in the Marvel Comics universe, created by Jim Starlin. She first appeared in Strange Tales #180 in 1975. Gamora is a member of the alien race known as the Zen-Whoberis. She is the adopted daughter of the villainous Thanos and was trained to become a skilled assassin.

Gamora is known for her agility, combat skills, and enhanced strength and endurance. She is also an expert in weapons and has been known to use a variety of weapons including swords, guns, and knives. Gamora is a member of the Guardians of the Galaxy and has also been a member of the Infinity Watch.

Gamora's backstory has been explored in various comics, including her traumatic childhood and her complicated relationship with Thanos. She has also been depicted as having a romantic relationship with Peter Quill, also known as Star-Lord.

In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Gamora is portrayed by actress Zoe Saldana. She first appears in the film Guardians of the Galaxy and has since appeared in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame.
