Drax the Destroyer, also known as Arthur Douglas, is a fictional character appearing in Marvel Comics. He was created by Jim Starlin and first appeared in Iron Man #55 in 1973.

Drax's origin story is tragic: he was once a human named Arthur Douglas who was killed along with his family by the supervillain Thanos. After his death, Arthur's spirit was placed in a powerful new body by the being known as Kronos, with the mission to stop Thanos.

As Drax, he possesses incredible strength, durability, and regenerative abilities. He is also skilled in combat and has the ability to fly. Drax's abilities have been enhanced over time, making him one of the most formidable warriors in the Marvel Universe.

Drax is a member of the Guardians of the Galaxy, a team of intergalactic heroes who protect the galaxy from various threats. He is known for his straightforward, no-nonsense personality and his unwavering loyalty to his friends and allies.
